check_http supports arguments like hostname, hostaddress, URI etc.
you can have,
check_http -H $ARG1 -I $ARG2 -u $ARG3
where,
$ARG1 - hostname
$ARG2 - hostaddress
$ARG3 - URI - www.yourwebsite.com
Also check "check_http --help" for more details.
